For SRC pre-approval, please email your research plan before you start your experiments to src@tcrsf.org with your name, school, and grade in
school. Research Plan and Post Project Summary Instructions (type the plan into a word or text document)
Do NOT print forms on both sides!
We must have the forms printed only on one side of each page.
(No duplex printing.) We have to scan the forms. Use white paper only – Do not use colored paper.
No staples. Make sure the student’s name is on each page.
Society for Science has a helpful “Overview of Forms and Dates”
page available at http://student.societyforscience.org/overview-forms-and-dates?pid=803
Note: the signature date is the date of project approval (before the start of the experimental work stated on Form 1A),
not the date that the form is being filled out. If the teacher and parent verbally approved a project
and filled the form out later, the verbal approval date before the experimental part started is the date for the form.

Student Handbook
An explanation of each form can be found on the Intel ISEF website.
The forms are available both on this page OR forms may be downloaded directly from Society for Science at
https://student.societyforscience.org/forms
The abstract may be a typed Word document of no more than 250 words.
The abstract is not divided by “headers” like “hypothesis” and “procedure”.
Please include the student name(s), grade, and project title on the abstract page.
You may optionally use the Abstract Form - NOTE:
The stamp or embossed seal is provided only at ISEF for international competition and is
not required for school, local, regional, or state competition. The form may be used without the seal for TCRSF or state science fair. The Abstract is required to be in at least 4 places for competition: posted vertically in the exhibit, a copy of it in the SRC forms paperwork at the exhibit during competition, a copy of it submitted in the SRC forms paperwork submitted to the regional fair as part of the required registration, and entered into our fair's online abstracts (student log in accessing the registration). It is a great idea to keep a Word or text file of the abstract for easy copy-pasting into the various places the abstract needs to be entered.
Media release form – This is a custom form for each registered student – generated at the end of online registration.
If you forgot to print this form during student registration, log in with the student log in to print the form.
Note: the ISEF Project Forms above are for ALL students grades 6-12 entering the project competition. These are sometimes known as the SRC (Scientific Review Committee) Forms.
